Conveyors and material handling
A conveyor modification is a structural job, an alignment job and a controls job at the same time. Treating it as only one of the three is where the trouble starts.
Extending or rerouting an existing conveyor means the support structure, the drive selection and the control logic all change together. The structure has to carry the new span and the new load, the drive has to move it, and the interlocks have to know the length has changed. We plan the three together and say clearly which parts sit outside our scope.
Where the run is elevated or crosses a mezzanine, access for the work itself becomes the constraint. Working platform, edge protection and lifting arrangements are planned before mobilisation, because a conveyor at height cannot be worked on from a ladder.
Commissioning covers alignment, tracking, drive setting and a loaded trial. A belt that tracks correctly empty and drifts under load has not been commissioned.
