Machine relocation and factory shifting

Moving a heavy machine inside an operating plant requires route planning, floor-load checks, rigging selection, utility isolation and a fixed handover window. The lifting itself is the shortest part of the job.

Every relocation starts with a route survey. Door heights, aisle widths, turning radii, floor loading on each span, overhead obstructions, and whether the route crosses a live production area all decide the method before any equipment is booked. A machine that clears the doorway but not the sprinkler line has not been surveyed.

Disconnection is sequenced and documented. Utilities are isolated and tagged, cabling and piping are marked so reconnection matches the original, and small parts are boxed against a list rather than swept into a crate. Where the machine crosses a gate, the outward movement is covered by a returnable gate pass so nothing is disputed later.

Reinstallation repeats the installation discipline: position to the grid, level in stages, record the readings, trial under no load and then under load. For a full line relocation the sequence is planned backwards from the date production has to restart, so the machines needed first are the ones that move first.
